In the lofty realms of SLAT, a sweet project buzzes with life, unfolding with a blend of vigor and vibrant flair.

A group of buzzing enthusiasts, aka the employee volunteers, embarked on a mission as bold as it is heartwarming. Armed with their DIY skills, they crafted and painted ruches in hues as bright as their ambitions, transforming the rooftop of SLAT’s building into a bustling haven for 100,000 new winged employees. As April’s warmth coaxed the first blooms, these industrious pollinators checked into their colorful new quarters, ready to turn nectar into gold.

These bees, SLAT's latest and buzziest recruits, are giving the term 'worker bee' a whole new meaning. With a work ethic that puts even the most diligent of employees to shame, they flit about, harvesting the essence of nearby flora. Their relentless efforts since the onset of spring herald a honey harvest that’s eagerly anticipated. Just a couple of months post-arrival, and we’re already buzzing with excitement for the first batch of honey, a sweet testament to community and environmental stewardship.

This endeavor isn’t just about the birds and the bees; it’s a live-action lesson in biodiversity, teamwork, and green living. “Who wants honey?” isn’t just casual chit-chat around SLAT anymore; it’s an invite to dive into a collective adventure where every small effort amounts to a big difference. At SLAT, the future isn’t just looking greener; it's undeniably sweeter—and buzzier, with a dash of humor to make the honey even sweeter.
