Compartmentalisation

Compartmentalisation

In the event of a fire, people who cannot leave the building must wait for help in a secure compartment.
Compartmentalisation protects people and objects, preventing rapid propagation of flames and smoke.

To completely secure a compartment, walls, doors or ventilation ducts shall not allow flames or smoke to pass through.
Compartmentalisation is also used to prevent the spread of fire outside the building and to limit material damage.
To operate, the system controlling fire doors and flaps must always be operational.
Power Supplies Equipment, certified against fire standard EN 12101-10, are essential to meet this requirement.
